I’m selling my Ford. I’ve already had someone offer me $2500 for it, which is absurd. Here’s a picture of my truck from last winter.
Book value is closer to $5,500, and that’s assuming that it has typical mileage (240K) on the odometer. Mine has far less than typical (98K), so I’m asking $6,250 for it.
Atlanta Oppos, if you want a 1/2 ton pickup for occasional use, it’s available!

I hear ya! I’m trying to sell my Lincoln for $2200.00 and I’m not getting any bites, all I got so far was a $500 offer. I’ve had it for sale for about a month and the car is worth more than that in scrap steel value.

$2500 is insulting I can’t stand those people.
$6k seemed a bit high but a quick CL search in ATL shows that it’s pretty fair for a clean rig with low miles.

no offense but $6250 is way to high for a truck of that age. Its in great condition but those OBS trucks are never going to pull that much

Why? How hard is it to say no or just disregard a lowballer’s offer? Sometimes they will be your saving grace if you really want/need to sell something and are having a tough time as most do when selling a vehicle privately.
I had a guy offer me half what I wanted for my old explorer, I told him (politely) to piss off. Months later I wanted to go snowboarding in VT for the weekend, so I called him back to see if his offer still stood. He was willing and I was even able to negotiate up a few hundred dollars. Just because someone comes in low, does not mean they will stay there.

I’m actually surprised you remembered the Red Wings.

$6k, wat? My BIL just picked up a clean ‘97 F350 dually with 120k and a 7.3 a few weeks ago. He paid $7,500. Yours looks fairly rust free, and that’s worth something, but still, it’s 20 years old and has 100k. No way are the 240k examples worth $5,500 either.

I’d consider it if I had more space. It’s worth $5k all day long. Be patient someone will want it to make a work truck out of. There’s a lot of contractors that hate the next 2 generations of the F150.

When everything else that age has 250K miles and has rust (mine has no rust on either panels or frame), that’s pretty much going rate.
In the South, trucks are crazy overpriced. I got lucky on the Chevy I bought, being $8500. The book value is closer to $14K
